The first group meeting since the end of 2015 gave an opportunity to update members on the group website, kindly sponsored by Market Engineering.
Group chairman and website editor Robin Roberts told members at a recent meeting courtesy fo Suzuki GB, “I am delighted to say that during 2015 we had a 20% rise in unique users compared with 2014 and we have entered this year with 6,369 regular visitors.
“They typically made two visits a month and overall last year nearly 98,000 site pages were read, some 50% more than the previous 12 months.”
January is traditionally a quiet month after a lot of views over the Christmas period and we had 542 visitors with almost 900 visits recorded and 5,500 pages studied. In February it climbed to over 1,100 visitors, nearly 1,400 visits and 8,000 pages read.
“So far this year we have posted six items so there is plenty of scope for members to contribute and all are welcome, but please send any appropriate copyright images you have with the pieces and keep to about 500 words please.
“More items generate more views as we post alerts to members and PRs and this is reflected in days and times of viewing which corresponded with emails and Twitter entries generated after publication of an item. Monday has been busiest viewing day so far this year in line with published articles, but there are a number of casual Sunday viewers dipping into the site and up to lunchtimes is the busiest time for traffic any day. This is a marked change over several months.
” I would like to thank Market Engineering for its continued support of the website,” added group chairman Robin Roberts, who also said the group was very grateful for the opportunity to update members with the latest Suzuki models and see the forthcoming Baleno as a static display before its UK public launch this summer.
