Ford scooped the major awards at thewesterngroup driving day yesterday.

Press fleet garage manager Gary Cuthbert walked off with the PR of the Day Award for driving the most cars at Castle Combe, and there was further cause to celebrate after his Fiesta ST was announced as the most driven car of the day and that puts two Bristol Blue Glass goblets in the Ford trophy cabinet and a box of goodies for sharing out in the press garage.

Long time supporters of the event Mitsubishi left the circuit with a special award for the most driven classic car of the day, its Starion coupe.

The busiest driver on the track was Kia’s Carly Escritt and her colleague Rosie Puxley won the quiz prize.

There were over 50 PRs taking part in the annual event and there were more than 40 cars for them to drive, including heritage models and a late entry Rolls-Royce Wraith. A fuller report on the driving day, images and video will appear on thewesterngroup site in the near future.
