It’s that time of year.
Preparations are underway for the annual Western Group of Motoring Writers PR Driving Day at Castle Combe Circuit, Chippenham on 5 June 2019.
That’s when, for one day only, the motor industry PR machine gets into gear and the UK’s finest PRs get a chance to play at being motoring writers and put the latest models through their paces on track and road.
The WGMW has hosted the invitation-only private event for over three decades and through the generosity of eager participants has collected thousands of pounds for national and local charities, including £800 from last year. It’s a win-win event for everyone.
Following a familiar format we are once again working with the experts at ID-PR who have created the dedicated website and on-line registration for you to use.
You will be able to sign up people and vehicles but to streamline the system this year you’ll have to pay in full when registering and before your participation is confirmed.
The day will follow the usual proven and successful timetable explained on the site but essentially it means a reasonably early start at Castle Combe Circuit with welcome over breakfast and safety briefings before the road and circuit routes open, pause for lunch and then resume before concluding late afternoon with the unique prize-giving.
There will be a charitable collection throughout the day and some extra curricular activities we are keeping as surprises. We would also welcome signature sponsors for elements of the day.
So, throw off the winter blues and start thinking of summer’s blue sky over Castle Combe Circuit, go to the registration page and enter your details of people and product attending. You’ll be sorry if you don’t.
If you have any questions or suggestions to improve DD2019, contact me. We look forward to seeing you on 5 June.
