West country based professional car photographer and group member James Mann is taking part in this year’s Lambeth Open arts festival in London over the weekend of 3 & 4 October.
The festival, now in it’s fifth year, opens up studio and gallery spaces all over the South London borough and James’s work will be exhibited in one of the actual studios where he photographed the cars for his award winning book the Art of the F1 race car.
“I’m really excited to be back at Plough studios in Clapham for Lambeth Open” said James.
“ It’s one of the best small infinity cove studios in the country and makes a stunning gallery space tucked away in a secret part of the capital full of artists and craft makers”
The exhibition will include large canvasses of James’ studio work with images featuring Formula One, Le Mans and Super cars plus there is a special display of black and white photographs taken on period cameras at the Goodwood Circuit Revival.
Entrance to all the venues is free and doors open at 10.00am both days and close at 6.00pm at Plough studios, 9 Park Hill SW4 9NS.Nearest tube is Clapham Common.
Among the items is this shot of the Lotus 72: Perhaps the seminal Formula 1 car of the early 1970s, this is the Ronnie Peterson car in it’s glorious black and gold JPS livery.
